Chennai, 22^nd July 2026: Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. (MLDL), the real estate and infrastructure development arm of the Mahindra Group, through its joint venture company, Mahindra Industrial Park Chennai Limited (MIPCL), today announced the execution of a Second Supplemental Agreement between Sumitomo Corporation, Japan and Mahindra World City Developers Limited (MWCDL). This agreement is for the expansion of Origins by Mahindra in Chennai with the development of Phase 2B.

Mahindra Lifespaces and Sumitomo Corporation entered into a partnership in 2015 for Phase 1 of Origins by Mahindra in Chennai. The partnership further strengthened with the expansion into Phase 2A in 2024 and has now extended to Phase 2B in July 2026.

The agreement further sets out the framework for the acquisition, transfer and development of ~95 acres of land under Phase 2B. This will further strengthen the industrial ecosystem at Origins by Mahindra.

The combined area across all phases stands at ~540 acres. Building on the strong interest shown by Japanese manufacturers in establishing operations in India, the expansion is expected to support the next wave of global and domestic investments. This will reinforce Chennai's position as a preferred industrial and logistics hub.

Chennai, June 18, 2026: Mahindra Industrial Park Chennai Limited (MIPCL), a joint venture between Mahindra World City Developers Limited and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan, announced that YKK India Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of YKK Corporation, will establish a new manufacturing facility at Origins by Mahindra, Chennai. According to YKK India, this will be the third manufacturing plant in the country and will be spread across approximately 149,936 square metres with a total investment amount of USD 150 million within the integrated industrial cluster. The facility is expected to be completed by February 2028.

Mahindra World City Jaipur Hosts Half Marathon, Bringing Jaipur's Running Community Together

Jaipur, 30th March 2026: Mahindra World City Jaipur Ltd. (‘MWC Jaipur’), a joint venture between Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. (MLDL) and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), successfully hosted Mahindra World City Jaipur Half Marathon on Sunday, 29th March 2026. As a continuation of the recently held Mahindra World City Chennai Marathon, the event brought together Jaipur’s growing community of fitness enthusiasts, amateur runners, and seasoned athletes. The marathon saw participation from over 3000 runners across age groups and abilities.

The marathon was flagged off by the honourable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, who encouraged the runners and stressed on the importance of a healthy lifestyle for the youth. The flagging off was followed by the planting of a sapling at MWC Jaipur, where the honourable Chief Minister reaffirmed MWC Jaipur’s commitment to building and maintaining a sustainable ecosystem for businesses.

Designed as a community-led initiative, the marathon featured multiple categories, including the Half Marathon, 10 km run, 5 km run, 3 km run, and a 1 km shorter run. Chennai, February 06, 2026: Mahindra Industrial Park Chennai Limited (MIPCL), a joint venture between Mahindra World City Developers Limited and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan, marks yet another significant milestone with the commencement of operations of Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited’s air conditioner and compressor manufacturing facility at Origins by Mahindra in Chennai. The facility, spread across 52 acres within the integrated industrial cluster, represents the scaling up of Mitsubishi Electric India’s manufacturing presence in India. The facility was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, through a virtual plaque unveiling. Developed with an investment of approximately ₹2,100 crore, the facility underscores Mitsubishi Electric India’s long-term commitment to India and further strengthens Tamil Nadu’s position as a preferred destination for high-value, technology-led manufacturing. With an annual production capacity of 300,000 indoor and outdoor room air conditioners and 650,000 compressors, the expansion contributes to the development of a strong regional supplier ecosystem, and aligns with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. Aligns with Rajasthan Govt’s broader focus on improving educational infrastructure, expanding digital learning and developing skills of the youth Jaipur, October 29, 2025 – Mahindra World City Jaipur Ltd. ('MWC Jaipur'), a joint venture between Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited (MLDL) and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), today inaugurated a new phygital library at the Reserve Police Line, Chandpole, Jaipur. The facility was dedicated to the citizens of Jaipur by Shri Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary – Energy; in the presence of Shri Sachin Mittal, Commissioner of Police, Jaipur; and Shri Amit Sinha, Managing Director & CEO, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited.
